We are currently seeking reliable and professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our growing team in Preston. This role involves trunking, multi-drop deliveries, and collections, ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles for deliveries and collections.
- Ensure all loads are secure and comply with safety regulations.
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Adhere to all driving laws and regulations, including tachograph and WTD rules.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism at all times.
- Complete necessary paperwork and delivery documentation.
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) license.
- Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- Minimum 1-year experience driving Class 1 vehicles (preferred but not essential; we welcome applications from new drivers).
- Strong knowledge of UK roads and transport regulations.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and nights.
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary with the opportunity for overtime and bonuses. Ranging from £14.50 up to £22.00 depending on either day or nights these are rates up to 40 hours with increases after.
