Position - Joiner

Salary/Package - 28,000k - 35,000 depending on experience, Van/Fuel card, Working Pension, 24 days holidsy Exc Banks.

Location / Working Hours - Preston, 7:30AM - 4pm, Half hour for lunch (with flexibility) Overtime Paid - Double Time all the time!!

Job Purpose

To complete all types of joinery, building maintenance and refurbishment work in accordance with specifications, building regs and to a high standard.

This role WILL require travel throughout the North West and up to Cumbria. VERY rarely travel may take you to Solihull & North Wales.

Key Duties

  • Carry out all types of joinery repairs and maintenance
  • Assess the parts needed for a job and place orders for those parts.
  • Carry out Risk Assessments as required.
  • Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards, complies with building regulations, and follows safety requirements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and answer any customer questions.
  • Provide professional assessments and advice for customers.
  • Organise workload effectively
  • Possess working knowledge of City & Guilds Advanced craft cert in Carpentry and Joinery (NVQ level 3) or equivalent.
  • Participate in an emergency ‘out of hours’ service as required, including carrying out other multi skilled trades work where necessary.

You must have or hold:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • C&G Advanced craft cert in Carpentry and Joinery (NVQ level 3) or equivalent

Desirable:

  • FDIS Fire door inspection qualification
  • CSCS Card

We are looking for a conscientious, reliable person capable of working on their own and as part of a team, in a fast paced environment. Progression through the company is possible, with in-depth experience of the role being an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided where required.
