JA1411 – Business Development ExecutiveLocation – PrestonPosition Type - Permanent – 42.5 hours per week.Salary – Up to £34K DOEOverview:We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Executive to join our client’s national car business. The successful candidate will spend their first 2 days in the business, attending our client’s fantastic residential induction academy. This is at a lovely hotel in the heart of the Northampton countryside, where you’ll learn all about their business before you start your new role.Job Purpose:To drive the standard in customer care and maximise customer satisfaction by ensuring all Smart Repairs undertaken are on time and of the highest standard of quality. To motivate technicians to ensure a high level of productivity and quality. You’ll demonstrate the Company’s Purpose, Principles, and Ambition (PPA) in all dealings with colleagues, customer and prospects.Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed sales targets by providing a consultative sales solution to internal and external customers.
  • Deliver the necessary level of sales by educating customers in the range of parts and accessories appropriate for their needs.
  • Proactively identify new customers and build an effective and profitable relationship.
  • Retain existing customers through effective customer management techniques.
  • Maintain electronic and paper records, ensuring they are always up to date.
  • Promote and maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction.

Skills & Experience:Essential

  • Core Maths and English qualifications.
  • Elementary knowledge of IT (e.g., Microsoft Office)
  • Evidence of proactive sales activity in a commercial environment.
  • Evidence of customer management and handling skills alongside customer development in a retail or commercial environment
  • Sound telephone skills.
  • Full driving license held for a minimum of 6 months with fewer than 9 penalty points.
  • Evidence of ‘Right to work in the UK’

Desirable:

  • Able to self-manage and deliver new business.
  • Positive, customer-focused attitude.
  • Good communicator, especially verbally, able to present face-to-face with a variety of customers.
  • Adept at identifying, creating, and seizing business opportunities.
  • Resilient and adept at building commercial relationships.
