Berry Recruitment is actively seeking an experienced Business Development Manager for one of our clients. This role offers a competitive salary of £35,000 - £50,000 dependent upon experience, alongside attractive benefits. This is a full-time, office based role in Nelson and Great Harwood, Lancashire.

Role Overview:

Our client is seeking an ambitious and driven business development/sales professional with expertise in laser (flatbed & tube) and pre-coated metal sales supplied within the manufacturing industry. This unique opportunity allows you to join a rapidly expanding company with ambitious growth plans. Utilise your business development acumen and technical knowledge to drive this forward-thinking SME to new heights. Your skills and expertise will be recognised and rewarded with a flexible, versatile role and opportunities for progression. Target sectors will include construction, industrial equipment, consumer goods, aerospace and automotive.

Role Highlights:

  • Core Contribution: Be at the centre of our ambitious growth strategy, working closely with Directors and Managers to secure new business and manage existing client relationships.
  • Growth Leadership: Lead Business Development across multiple sites in the coming years.
  • Industry Expertise: Leverage your experience in flatbed laser, tube laser, powder coating and press brake operations to enhance our service offerings.

Responsibilities:

  • Autonomous Work: Operate with a high degree of autonomy, working from both our client's Nelson and Great Harwood sites and, where required, travelling to their client sites across the UK.
  • On-Site Support: Provide on-site support during estimating, quoting, and project delivery phases (if required).
  • Team Leadership: Progress to a leadership role within the Business Development team.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in business development / sales, with a strong background in sheet metal and fabrication. Specific experience with flatbed laser, tube laser, powder coating, and press brake technology is desirable.
  • Business Development: Experience in business development for manufacturing is beneficial.
  • Driving Licence: Clean driving licence required.
  • Attributes: Ambitious, future-driven, professional, and confident with a proven track record in sales.
