Business Development Manager

Due to continuing expansion our client, a national manufacturing company is actively seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and ambitious Business Development Manager to increase sales and profitability of the business within a given geographic area.

Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, responsibilities will include.

路 Responsible for securing sales, customer satisfaction and loyalty to the company brand.

路 Manage a portfolio of new and existing clients.

路 Build strong and positive relationships with clients at various levels.

路 Ensure best commercial fit to customer and business.

路 Maximise selling opportunities by analysis of customer needs.

路 Update clients on issues such as new products, promotional campaigns, or joint marketing programs.

路 To use the tools provided to analyse customer accounts to highlight downtrading lines and accounts and spot new opportunities and then action accordingly.

路 Provide detailed management information reports to clients as and when required.

路 Daily liaison with other members of the team to provide information and ensure that clients receive excellent customer service.

路 Carry out analysis and produce client reports on an as and when required basis.

路 Act as the key interface between the Clients and all relevant internal departments.

路 Manage customer issues by using an internal support desk system to ensure the issues are resolved in a fast and professional manner.

路 To complete the company sales training program (in whatever form) given to you and adapt it for your personal use and stay up to date.

路 To achieve and over deliver on sales and gross profit OKR targets.

The successful candidate will have 2 years sales experience in a business development role and previous sales within food and drink, or similar business would be beneficial you will also display exceptional communication, interpersonal abilities, and organisational skills together with a corporate and professional approach to work always. You will demonstrate the ability to multitask effectively and prioritise a heavy workload to meet strict deadlines. A current driving licence is also essential as the role is field based.
