Registered Manager for Children's Residential Home

Salary - Negotiable

Positive Independence has an exciting opportunity to become a registered manager under the new multi-build registration process.

We are recruiting a Registered Manager to manage 1 home, overseeing the care of 4 children. The successful Registered Manager will lead a team of carers to support these young people in a regulated environment.

The successful candidate will hold responsibility for children requiring residential care, ensuring the efficient and effective management of all of resources allocated to the homes and ensuring quality services are provided for 'Looked After Children' whilst working within the policies procedures and guidelines.

The Registered Manager will have:

路 Two years Child Care experience in the last 5 years to include one year in a managerial capacity.

路 A Diploma in Social Work or NVQ Level 3 in children and young people.

路 A Level 5 in Leadership and Management or be willing to work toward this.

路 Management and Supervision Experience.

路 The ability to build effective working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, such as other agencies, users of the service, family and members of the community.

路 An innovative approach.

路 The ability to demonstrate creative thinking.

路 A full driving license and the use of a car

Your Duties as a Registered Manager will include, but not limited to:

路 To meet the requirements as a Registered Manager as set out in the Children's Homes National Minimum Standards care Standards Act 2000 and the Children Act 2004.

路 To work within the policies, practices and procedures of Positive Independence.

路 Develop and implement methods to establish the needs of children as part of the individual Local Authorities care planning arrangements. Through the care plan approach, maximise choice and ensure that the service is provided in a planned and effective way.

路 Manage physical resources to meet all appropriate legislative and regulatory requirements, taking action to minimise risk to people, plant and property.

路 Manage, monitor and control activities against delegated budgets. Manage, monitor and control human resources to ensure effective delivery of service to meet statutory and legislative requirements.

路 Create and maintain the necessary conditions for effective service delivery.

路 To promote by personal example and through appropriate management, good social work practice, professional conduct and ethical standards.

路 Establish and maintain monitoring systems within the Home and participate in monitoring and evaluation processes.

路 Contribute to the selection of key performance indicators to monitor projects, performance and plans.
