Nursery Manager (Maternity Cover) - PR3 Area

Are you an experienced Early Years professional looking for a leadership role? We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Nursery Manager to cover maternity leave at a well-established nursery school in the PR3 area. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a passionate team, ensure high-quality early years education, and create a nurturing environment where children can thrive.

Responsibilities:
  • Actively engage with children daily as part of the team.
  • Take responsibility for a key worker group, supporting children's development.
  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the preschool alongside the Deputy.
  • Keep policies updated in line with the Early Years Alliance.
  • Communicate with parents, including sending newsletters via the Dojo app.
  • Conduct supervisions and appraisals to support staff development.
  • Ensure high standards of safeguarding, health & safety, and curriculum delivery.
  • Ideally, have experience with SEND, including managing support requests.

These are some of the requirements that we need to get you cleared:

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)
  • At least 6 months experience working with children (must be able to reference your recent work with 2 professional references)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • A true passion to work with children
  • Able to display sensitivity and patience
  • Teacher with a QTS.
  • Good knowledge of EYFS
