Role: Plumbing assessor Location: Lancashire Rate: £35 - £45 per hour Type: Temporary, Full Time Eden Brown are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Plumbing Assessor to join a leading further education college on a full-time, temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in shaping the next generation of skilled plumbers. Role Overview: As a Plumbing Assessor, you will be responsible for assessing and evaluating the practical skills and knowledge of our plumbing students. You will ensure that they meet the required standards for their qualification and prepare them for a successful career in the plumbing industry. You will work closely with both students and teaching staff, providing feedback and support throughout the assessment process. The role involves primarily assessing work on-site, currently focusing on Phase 4 of the project. However, once this phase is completed, they will need to assess Phases 1, 2, and 3 as well. In addition to on-site assessments, the assessor also conducts one-on-one sessions a few days a week to review individual files and provide further guidance or feedback. Key Responsibilities: * Assess students practical and theoretical knowledge in plumbing. * Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them progress. * Ensure all assessments are carried out in line with industry standards and awarding body requirements. * Maintain accurate records of assessments and student progress. Essential Criteria: * A relevant qualification in plumbing (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent). * A recognised assessors award * Experience working in the plumbing industry. * Previous experience in assessing students in a vocational setting.
