Do you have a passion for supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)?Are patience, kindness, and adaptability among your strengths? We're seeking dedicated 1:1 Support Teaching Assistants to join our team in Preston.

In this role, you'll provide personalised support to children with ASD, implement tailored strategies to promote their development, and collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive learning environment. Prior experience working with children with ASD is essential, along with strong communication skills and a compassionate approach. Responsibilities:
  • Utilise and develop 1:1 resources.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and TAs to organise appropriate activities.
  • Liaise with other professionals such as teachers, specialist support staff, and SEN coordinators.
  • Work closely with LSAs and other support staff.
  • Provide support in classes, small groups, and on a one-to-one basis.
  • Prepare and develop class displays.
  • Keep up-to-date records of the pupil's progress and contribute to their EHCP plan.
  • Create a calm and supportive environment where learning can take place.
Essential Requirements:
  • Proven experience working on a 1:1 or small group basis with children who have Special Educational Needs.
  • Experience of working with young people, particularly those with ASD.
  • Confidence in managing challenging behaviours.
  • Ability to engage with, and build rapport with, young people.
  • Creativity, proactivity, and flexibility in your approach to support.
  • TA qualification (Level 2 or 3).
