1-1 TA - Preston:

Prospero Teaching are looking for a teaching assistant with experience supporting SEN, in particular ASD to join a specialist school near to Preston.

The Role:

  • Working closely with other staff members to monitor progress
  • Supporting children 1-1 based on their individual needs
  • Using positive behaviour management techniques

Position Details:

  • Location: Preston
  • Position: 1-1 TA
  • Type of Work: Temporary/Temp-Perm
  • Hours:8:30am-4pm
  • Full time/Part time: Full time only
  • Minimum Rate of Pay: £90 per day, depending on experience
  • Start date: ASAP
  • End date: Ongoing

EXPERIENCE:

  • Relevant experience in a school or similar setting.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs and/or social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
  • Experience of effectively and positively managing behaviour.
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable but training can be provided).
  • Team Teach qualification would be highly desired

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
