Job Description:

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistants to support students in primary education at a school in Preston. Whether you are seeking a full-time or part-time role, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a classroom setting and support the academic and personal development of young learners. Ideal for recent graduates looking to start a career in education, this role offers an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and providing additional support to pupils.
  • Work 1:1 or with small groups of students to help them access the curriculum and achieve learning goals.
  • Support with classroom management, lesson preparation, and administrative tasks.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging children's social and emotional development.
  • Provide extra help to students who may need additional support, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
Requirements:
  • Recent graduate with a passion for education (experience working with children is desirable but not essential).
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build relationships with pupils.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic school environment.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
