Reed/LTA are currently seeking a dedicated Year 4 Teaching Assistant for a part-time, ongoing position at a rural primary school in Preston. This role involves supporting the Year 4 class every morning and requires someone with experience in Key Stage 2. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about contributing to the educational development of children in a supportive and community-focused environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist the Year 4 teacher in preparing and setting up activities for the day.
  • Support individual students and small groups to help them understand the material and complete tasks.
  • Monitor and encourage student progress, providing feedback to the lead teacher.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Participate in creating educational materials and aids as directed by the teacher.
  • Assist with the organization and storage of teaching resources and materials.
  • Engage with students during lessons to facilitate participation and learning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant within Key Stage 2, particularly with Year 4.
  • Strong understanding of the educational needs and curriculum of Key Stage 2.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under the guidance of a lead teacher.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to supporting childrenā€™s learning.
