Are you passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Do you have the patience, understanding, and dedication to make a positive difference in their lives? We are looking for a committed and caring SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist SEMH school in Bamber Bridge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to children with SEMH needs, both one-on-one and in group settings.
  • Assist teachers with the planning and delivery of lessons that meet the individual needs of the pupils.
  • Encourage emotional and social development, helping students to build confidence and resilience.
  • Manage challenging behaviours calmly and effectively, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively with teachers and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for the children.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or individuals with mental health needs, either in a support worker role or within an educational setting.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS certificate (children's workforce) and the right to work in the UK.
  • Ability to provide contactable references from previous employment or education.
  • Patience, empathy, and a cheerful disposition.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with SEMH needs and helping them to thrive.

Salary & Benefits:
