Location: Preston
Reed/LTA are lookingĀ of an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant, qualified to at least Level 2 or 3, to provide cover for an absence in nursery/reception class. This temporary position where you will be supporting a maximum of 12 children, consisting of 5 nursery and 7 reception pupils.Ā
The role will be from 8.45am to 3.30pm
Day-to-day of the role:- Support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum within the nursery/reception class.
- Engage with children in both structured activities and free play, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment.
- Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and the setup of activities.
- Observe and record childrenās progress, sharing information with the class teacher.
- Provide individual care to children, including those with specific needs, ensuring their well-being.
- Facilitate a positive learning environment and manage behaviour in line with school policies.
- A Level 2 or Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Proven experience working within an EYFS setting.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
- Ability to work effectively with children aged between 3-5 years.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- A patient, caring, and creative approach to supporting young childrenās learning.
