Full-Time Teaching Assistant - Secondary School (Preston)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team at a secondary school in Preston. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 15:45, offering an exciting opportunity to work closely with students and staff, supporting learning and development across a range of subjects.

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK (essential).
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service is preferred. If not, we are happy to assist in applying for one.
  • The ability to provide professional reference details.
  • Experience working with children in any capacity (e.g., previous teaching assistant roles, tutoring, youth clubs, or volunteering).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for students, ensuring they are achieving their full potential.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage a positive learning environment.
  • Support students with special educational needs, adapting activities as necessary.
