BSL Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a BSL Specialist Teaching Assistant to work with Deaf/hearing impaired children across various schools working within a very supportive team of professionals. The role is full-time with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right person.

· Location - Preston· Position - Specialist Teaching Assistant with L2 British Sign Language· Type of work - Temporary· Start date - 23/09/2024· Duration - ongoing· Rate of pay: GBP100 - GBP120 per day depending on qualification· Hours - 08.30-4.30pm

Experience, Training and Qualifications required:· Qualified Teaching assistant· Previous experience working with Deaf/hearing impaired children and young people is preferable· Use of specialist resources and technologies to support children and young people with hearing impairment· Experience of using British Sign Language alongside speech to facilitate communication is essential.

To be eligible for this role, the potential Specialist Teaching Assistant must:· Hold the right to work in the UK· Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application· Provide two professional child-related references.· Clean full UK driving licence
