Hays have been approached by a secondary school in the Preston area who are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be able to work with year 10 ADHD and ASD students. There has been a huge increase in demand, and we are now looking for individuals who hold Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications to provide consistent support for pupils who need the extra help.Your new role

As a teaching assistant, you are responsible for providing support and assistance to the pupils. This could either be working as a general classroom support or working on a 1:1 basis with pupils who have ADHD or ASD. By being a teaching assistant, you should possess good behaviour management skills and hit the ground running by building up those relationships with pupils as well as staff. There is currently a high demand for teaching assistants in the Preston area, so please get in touch if you would like to know more or discuss the roles available.What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in securing this position, you must have recent experience working with children, ideally with SEN children. The school are also willing to consider individuals from other roles working with young adults, for example, support worker roles. As the schools are recruiting immediately, it would be ideal if you could jump straight into the role. However, do not let this put you off applying, as we are always receiving new roles.
