Our client, a leading company in the defence sector, is currently seeking a Business Analyst to join their EIT Product Portfolio team in Preston. This contract position offers the flexibility of remote work with occasional on-site visits as required. The successful applicant will be covering a maternity leave position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with the Project Manager in identifying project stakeholders
- Establishing and maintaining strong stakeholder (internal and external) relationships, maintaining regular dialogue and managing expectations
- Proactively identifying project risks and issues
- Working with the Project Manager on benefits profiling and their realisation
- Defining the project scope and its business justification in collaboration with the Project Manager
- Collecting, analysing, and gaining approval for critical success factors and business requirements
- Planning and leading workshops with stakeholders at all levels for requirements and business process capture and documentation
- Developing and managing system requirements (functional and non-functional) throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensuring change control and change management procedures are followed within the project team as they relate to requirements
- Supporting development teams, third-party suppliers, and test communities by acting as the voice of the customer on projects
Job Requirements:
- Experience in business analysis within the defence sector
- Strong skills in business intelligence and data analysis
- Proven ability to identify and manage project stakeholders
- Excellent relationship management and communication abilities
- Competence in identifying and mitigating project risks and issues
- Ability to lead workshops and gather detailed business requirements
- Understanding of change control and change management procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively with development teams and external suppliers
