Job Title: Research & Development Supervisor
Location: Leyland, Preston
Contract Details: Full Time/Permanent
Salary: 35,000 - 45,000 per annum

Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the R&D team, overseeing project development and laboratory tests
- Innovate and improve both products and processes while ensuring efficient resource allocation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Quality Control, Production, Purchase Office, and Technical Department
- Manage and coordinate R&D projects and laboratory tests, ensuring progress tracking and alignment with the Parent Company
- Carry out research on new suppliers and alternative raw materials, optimising product performance and reducing costs
- Assist the RDQ Manager in coordination, reporting, planning, budgeting, and project development
Essential Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Proven experience in R&D within a manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership and coordination skills
- Excellent knowledge of project management principles and practises
- Knowledge of laboratory testing methodologies
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Desirable Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly in the development of innovative products
- Familiarity with sustainability and environmental considerations in product development
- Knowledge of alternative raw materials and their applications
- Understanding of quality control and regulatory requirements in manufacturing
Technologies:
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in R&D and project management
