Mechanical Technician
Working hours: Monday to Friday 6-2/2/10
Location: Preston
Salary: 40,000
Job Role:
Effectively set up a wide range of machinery, mainly within the packing areas to maximise production output. In addition to undertaking routine site maintenance work withing GMP and SOP guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up machinery on packing lines to specified requirements, including fillers, hoppers, labellers and shrink wrap machines to ensure efficiency and quality in packing of products.
- Support the set-up of manufacturing machines when required, such as tablet presses and capsule machines to ensure efficiency and quality of manufacture.
- Lead clean downs of packing and manufacturing machinery, including, stripping machinery and parts (fillers, hoppers etc.) and resetting the cartoners, labellers, shrink wrap machines ready for new products or batches.
- Disinfecting machine equipment effectively in line with GMP requirements.
- Liaise with the Engineering Manager daily, to ensure machine 'down time' is kept to a minimum.
Essential Requirements:
- 5years' experience working with packing line/ tabletting machinery in a FMCG environment (swift lane tablet counter, tablet presses, capsule machines etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and high level of attention to detail.
- Motivated individual with a 'can do attitude.
