**Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) **
3-month contract minimum
Location: Preston
Rate: Up to £33.00p/h DOE (Limited Co. / Umbrella)
40 hours a week, Days (Monday-Friday) + Potential Overtime
For the position of Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be required to conduct the following duties:
- Routine Maintenance: Perform regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems, including PLCs, motors, control panels, and other electrical equipment.
- Troubleshooting: Quickly diagnose and resolve electrical faults to minimize production downtime and ensure smooth operations.
- Working to CompEx / Atex regulations
- Reading from engineering drawings, plans and schematics
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications.
- Working safely is paramount, installing distribution, 3phase power, cabling, transformers, relays etc
- Measuring and testing electrical supply to correct standards and procedures, and Health & Safety
The successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer will need to have the following attributes:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment (experience with chemical or similar processes is a plus).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work with complex electrical systems and machinery.
