Finance Director (15 Months Maternity Cover) | Competitive Salary/ Preston
We are seeking an experienced Finance Director for a Maternity Cover contract, based in the UK, near Preston 3 days a week. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a renowned, international Travel Group.
In this role, you will provide financial leadership across key areas, including Management Accounting, Finance Systems, Financial Control, and Treasury. You'll deliver a high-quality financial service, drive efficiencies, and ensure accurate reporting in line with group policies.
Finance Director Key Responsibilities:
Provide financial support and regular communication across the business
Standardise Management Accounts and Financial Reporting, driving improvements
Build and maintain a strong financial control culture
Manage audits, ensuring accurate and timely deliverables
Oversee balance sheets, cash flow budgets, and forecasts
Lead and develop the Finance team, fostering collaboration and high performance
Requirements:
Several years of experience in senior financial roles, ideally within the travel
industry, or retail sector.
Experience working in a highly transactional, fast-paced company.
Previous experience working for a large, multinational company in a matrix
environment.
Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in team development
Comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards and financial controls
Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills
Post-qualification accounting experience is essential
This is a hybrid role, with some initial office-based requirements and occasional UK travel.
