About the Role

The successful candidate will oversee and action all aspects of payroll processes within CHEC and all subsidiary organisations within CHEC

You will be a critical player in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing support to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries.



We are looking for someone who can:

  • Supervise and manage the entire process, including the calculation of wages, overtime, and deductions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll to meet designated deadlines.
  • Ensure the accuracy and security of payroll data and confidential employee information.
  • Prepare and submit payroll taxes, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations. Coordinate with relevant authorities and external agencies for tax-related matters and inquiries.
  • Review and analyse incoming information to assess accuracy and completeness, contacting managers or HR to clarify incomplete or inaccurate information
  • Calculate and raise manual payments as necessary, ensuring records are updated and recovery action is implemented
  • Work with managers on providing accurate and timely payroll information
  • Address and resolve any payroll-related issues or discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide support and guidance to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries or concerns.
  • Stay up to date with payroll regulations and any related laws to ensure compliance
  • Provide necessary documentation and support to ensure compliance and accuracy during audits.



To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Experience in payroll administration or a related field, with a demonstrated track record of managing payroll processes and systems
  • Experience using Cascade is advantageous
  • Knowledge of payroll processes, regulations, and compliance requirements,
  • Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to conduct payroll audits and ensure the accuracy and integrity of payroll data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to explain complex payroll-related information in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships within CHEC
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and a fast-paced work environment
