Job Description:
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 HGV Driver to join a team in Preston for night shift operations. This role is ideal for drivers who are comfortable with trunking work and operating double-decker and curtain-side trailers.
As part of the logistics team, you will be responsible for transporting goods to and from thier main hub, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. You will play a key role in supporting our overnight operations, with guaranteed 10-hour shifts Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out night trunking routes to and from the main distribution hub
- Operate Class 1 double-decker and curtain-side vehicles
- Ensure all deliveries are made in a timely and professional manner
- Perform vehicle checks and complete all relevant paperwork
- Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and compliance
- Adhere to company and legal driving regulations
Requirements:
- Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Minimum 6 months of Class 1 driving experience preferred
- Comfortable with night driving and long-haul trunking routes
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Ability to work independently with good attention to detail
