You will be based at the heart of our client's data landscape, bringing together data from their global operations and generating a broad range of insights to inform key business decisions.

What you'll be doing: we are looking for a Technical Design & Assurance Senior Practitioner to join our client's Data and Analytics team, working across a range of technologies. The ideal candidate will support their architects and will be responsible for ensuring that data products and associated services are built, developed, and used in line with their standards.

Reviewing and approving the technical design of new data products, ensuring that these designs align to defined standards and best practice

Ensuring that developers build in line with the approved technical design, and playing a part in pre-deployment checks

Being able to advise developers on application of standards against specific project requirements

Reviewing technical documentation for completeness and accuracy

Engaging with developers to align existing solutions to enhanced standards without compromising ongoing delivery

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

You will be able to demonstrate a mature understanding of best practice in analytical data products and/or data pipelines

You can demonstrate that you have experience in influencing developers where technical designs are suboptimal

A desire to adopt lower risk technical solutions, and prior experience, either in a Data Warehouse, visualisation layer, or other similar technological environment, to be able to understand relative risk levels

You will have a good track record in working with a wide variety of Business datasets

Familiarity with or willingness to learn a range of toolsets such as SQL, SSIS, Alteryx & Tableau to facilitate integration between the Data Warehouse and analysis and visualisation layers and to support cross-skilling within team
