BASED: Polar Speed Distribution Limited, Caxton Road, Fulwood, Preston, PR2 9ZB

HOURS: 10:00 Hrs - 19:30 Hrs Monday - Friday

SALARY: £28,461.72 per annum - 45 hours per week

The company specialises in active temperature-controlled deliveries to hospitals, pharmacies, wholesalers and medical care surgeries as well as to end patients which it serves through its homecare business. Its customers include some of the best known pharmaceutical brands in the world.

Its been a very busy time for Polar Speed and we are expanding to meet our ever increasing business needs so we are delighted to welcome an experienced Debriefer to come and join our talented team to take responsibility to ensure the smooth running of our brief/debrief.

Our dedicated teams play a vital part in our ensuring efficient and accurate delivery of products which are part of the essential healthcare services distribution chain and this is a key role which enables this to happen.

As our Debriefer, you will brief and debrief drivers, monitor temperature compliance has been maintained, liaise with drivers and report ETAs and collection point departures, ensure routes are finalized on our in house database Polar Track.

In addition to this you will also be required to conduct periodic checks on drivers vehicles, reporting any defects in relation to vehicle or fridges to fleet, check loading areas upon driver return ensuring vehicles are completely unloaded.

Provide an effective handover to Planning, Warehouse and Transport department.

You will need to communicate effectively with sortation teams, drivers and clients.

Hours will be typically 10:00Hrs to 19:30 hrs, on a Monday to Friday basis. Flexibility with regard to hours will be required as the shift times may alter dependent on volume.

Key responsibilities:

Brief/Debrief

Review Journey tickets for temperature compliance

Assist with operational telephone calls

Conduct checks on vehicle and fridge units reporting any defects to fleet

Liaise with drivers reporting ETAs and collection point departures ensuring routes are finalized on in house database.

Effective handovers to Planning, Warehouse and Transport teams

Ensure all fails and returns are scanned into appropriate temperature storage

Export routes to drivers PDAs

Assist with operations enquiries, specifically driver queries.

All other general duties as and when required to ensure effective debrief operation

Key Skills/Experience/Requirements:

A minimum of 2 years driving experience

Must hold a B category driving licence (no more than 3 points)

Good understanding of the EU road transport rules and regulations, and the Tachograph Legislation.

Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suites

The ability to build and maintain internal/external Stakeholder working relationships and communicate effectively with colleagues even when under pressure.

Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to problem solve
