Estimator

Job Description:

As an Estimator for Roofing and Cladding, you will be responsible for accurately calculating the costs and materials needed for roofing and cladding projects. This role involves reviewing architectural plans, conducting site visits, analyzing labor, material, and time requirements, and preparing detailed cost estimates for bids and proposals. You will collaborate closely with project managers, suppliers, and clients to ensure that all estimates align with project specifications and budgetary constraints. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of roofing and cladding systems are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project specifications, architectural drawings, and scope of work.
• Perform site visits to assess conditions and gather information.
• Calculate material quantities, labor costs, and time requirements.
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates and bids.
• Coordinate with suppliers to obtain material pricing.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to refine estimates.
• Track and manage project costs to ensure adherence to budgets.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, materials, and construction methods.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, preferably in roofing and cladding.
• Strong knowledge of roofing and cladding materials and installation techniques.
• Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
