We are currently seeking an experienced estimator to join a well-established main contractor, based in Preston, who operate on the North West region. Our client works predominately within the new build and refurbishment sector, working across multiple sectors such as; education, public and leisure buildings, blue light, healthcare and maintenance.

The successful individual will be surfacing estimates on both traditional and D&B contracts. In this opportunity you will be working alongside a diverse client base and frameworks with contracts values ranging from £50k - £15m.

Estimator Job Overview (Only some selected duties)

Producing estimates from BQ's and Drawings & Specifications
Building strong client relationships
Producing tender risk information
Reporting for tender adjudication
Communication and handover of estimates
Early engagement with client teams to provide cost advice
Providing early-stage project cost plans
Undertaking tender site visits
Develop subcontract trade package enquiries
Take off and produce tender stage bills of quantities
Pricing of tender labour, plant and material rates build ups
Analysing supply chain enquiries for tender

Estimator Job Requirements

Full driving license
Experience within a similar position
Ability to work independently as a part of a team
Capable of working under pressure
Ability to work to deadlines
Competence in computerised estimating and take-off software and general IT skills

Estimator Salary & Benefits

Salary dependent on experience, with the typical industry range for this position being £45k - £60k
