My client is a local specialist contractor that carry out small to Medium size refurbishment works across a variety of different frameworks for healthcare, Education, Commercial and government clients.

 

They have a state-of-the-art workshop in Preston with a team of highly skilled craftsman that use the latest machinery to create bespoke products ready for their team of skilled tradespeople to install.

 

Requirements

  • 3+ years joinery/carpentry experience post apprenticeship
  • CSCS Blue/Gold card
  • NVQ in Carpentry & Joinery
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings

 

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out a range of Joinery Work
    • Fitting doors, windows, and frames
    • Installing stairs, handrails, and bannisters
    • Constructing and installing bespoke cabinetry and furniture
    • Building and fitting wooden structures, including partitions and floors
    • Skirting, architraves, and other interior woodwork installations
    • Measure and cut materials according to plans and blueprints
  • Maintaining strict health & Safety:
    • Prepare and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety guidelines
    • Operate joinery tools and machinery with care, ensuring their safe use and upkeep
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work closely with site managers, foremen, and other team members to ensure efficient project completion
    • Communicate any issues, materials shortages, or project delays promptly
    • Assist with the overall coordination of tasks on-site, ensuring quality standards are maintained
  • Customer Service:
    • Provide professional and courteous service to clients when working on-site
    • Assist with any specific customer requirements related to joinery and carpentry
