Job Title: Science Technician Location: Lancashire Type: Temporary - Full Time Rate: £110 - £120 per day Eden Brown are currently seeking a Science Technician for a Sixth Form College in Lancashire to support their science department in delivering high-quality education. This is a full time temporary role to start asap for ongoing cover. As a Temporary Science Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our science faculty, ensuring that practical lessons run smoothly and efficiently. Your role will include preparing materials, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring a safe learning environment for students. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare, set up, and dismantle equipment and materials for science practical. - Ensure all laboratory equipment is maintained, cleaned, and stored properly. - Maintain an accurate inventory of stock and order supplies as required. - Assist teaching staff during practical sessions when necessary. - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including COSHH and risk assessments. - Dispose of chemical and biological waste safely in line with college policies. - Support students and staff in the use of laboratory equipment and resources. Requirements: - A qualification in Science or a related field (minimum Level 3 or equivalent experience). - Previous experience in a laboratory environment, preferably within an educational setting. - Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to a laboratory environment. - Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. - A commitment to supporting students and staff in a busy educational setting Candidates must also have a current DBS on the update service If this could be of interest to you please contact me on or
