Residential Care Assistants

Requirements

  • Current DBS check (essential)
  • Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others
  • Willingness to attend relevant training courses

Responsibilities

As a Care Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our clients with a range of physical, social, and emotional needs, including:

  1. Physical Care Tasks:
  • Assisting clients with washing, dressing, bathing, and feeding
  • Supporting individuals with special needs related to physical or mental health
  1. Social Duties:
  • Talking with and motivating clients to maintain a positive mindset
  • Helping clients stay connected with family and their community
  • Assisting with shopping and organizing group social activities
  1. Creating a Supportive Environment:
  • Encouraging maximum independence for clients
  • Cooperating with domestic staff to meet personal needs
  1. Additional Responsibilities:
  • Escorting clients to appointments (e.g., hospital, opticians)
  • Assisting with laundry and personal care items, cleaning commodes, and tidying personal spaces
  • Caring for individuals at the end of life and providing support to their loved ones
  • Helping with medication administration (under management guidance)
  • Attending training and supervising students/volunteers
