1-1 Teaching Assistant - Preston:

Prospero teaching are looking for versatile, resilient and committed teaching assistants to join a specialist provision near to Preston.

This is a full-time, long-term position to start as soon as possible.

The Role:

  • Supporting children with complex needs on a 1-1 basis, responding to individual needs
  • Building rapport with parents, students and staff
  • Communicating with senior leadership team to monitor student progress

Position Details:

  • Position: 1-1 TA
  • Location: Preston
  • Type of Work: Temporary
  • Full time/Part time: Full time only
  • Hours: 8am-4pm, Mon-Fri
  • Minimum Rate of Pay: £100 per day, depending on experience
  • Start date: ASAP
  • End date: Ongoing

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

  • Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
  • Previous experience supporting ASD is essential for this position
  • Makaton, PECS training is highly desired
  • Previous experience working within an SEN or specialist provision is essential

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
