1:1 SEN TA - Preston:

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs? Our vibrant and inclusive school in Preston are seeking a dedicated and passionate 1:1 teaching assistant to support a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Global Learning Delay (GLD).

The Role:

You will provide tailored, 1:1 support to the child, helping them to thrive academically, socially and emotionally, whilst working alongside the other staff and external agencies. You will be required to implement intervention strategies and individualised plans to meet the specific needs of the child.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the child in their learning and development, ensuring an inclusive and supportive environment
  • Fostering the child's independence and confidence
  • Working collaboratively with the teaching staff and external professionals
  • Monitoring and recording progress, addressing challenges effectively

Position Details:

  • Position: 1:1 SEN TA
  • Location: Preston
  • Hours: 8:45am-3:45pm
  • Type of Work: Temporary
  • Full time/part time: Full time only
  • Minimum Rate of Pay: £105 per day
  • Start date: ASAP
  • End date: Ongoing, Temp to Perm

About You:

  • Experience working with children with ASD and GLD is essential.

  • Patient, empathetic, and proactive with excellent communication skills.

ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
