1-1 Teaching Assistant - Preston:
Prospero teaching are looking for versatile, resilient and committed teaching assistants to join a specialist provision near to Preston.
This is a full-time, long-term position to start as soon as possible.
The Role:
- Supporting children with complex needs on a 1-1 basis, responding to individual needs
- Building rapport with parents, students and staff
- Communicating with senior leadership team to monitor student progress
Position Details:
- Position: 1-1 TA
- Location: Preston
- Type of Work: Temporary
- Full time/Part time: Full time only
- Hours: 8am-4pm, Mon-Fri
- Minimum Rate of Pay: 100 per day, depending on experience
- Start date: ASAP
- End date: Ongoing
Experience, Training & Qualifications:
- Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
- Previous experience supporting ASD is essential for this position
- Makaton, PECS training is highly desired
- Previous experience working within an SEN or specialist provision is essential
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
