A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Head of People to join a growing pharmaceutical business based in Preston. In this role you will shape and implement the people strategy and play a key leadership role in the business, aiming to build a diverse and engaged workforce.

Below is an overview of the key responsibilities:

  • Shaping and delivering a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with the broader business strategy
  • Managing a small, high performing team
  • Working with the Talent Acquisition Manager to attract and retain top talent
  • Leading on a variety of employee engagement initiatives, championing employee well-being
  • Coaching Managers on all areas of HR
  • Advising on internal succession planning
  • Ensuring compensation and benefits are in line with the external market
  • Creating new HR policies inline with changes to employment legislation
  • Reporting on HR data, using this to drive decision making

The successful candidate for this role will have relevant HR experience having worked at a similar level, ideally within a high-growth business. Being passionate and taking pride in the work you do, being dynamic in your approach and self-motivated as well as demonstrating resilience are all key for this role.
