Title: Recruitment & Engagement OfficerSalary: Up to £32,000 p/aLocation: PrestonJGA are delighted to be working with a successful organisation looking to add a Recruitment & Engagement Officer to its team!Responsibilities include:
  • Reviewing of relevant risk assessments and safe working procedures.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure a deep understanding of the needs of the business and the department to create innovative and engaging job adverts for current openings that attract the right people
  • Source applicants through various methods including advertising, job sites, career fairs, online platforms, etc.
  • Keep up to date with employment law changes relevant for recruitment
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
  • Screen candidates by reviewing CVs and job applications, perform phone screenings and update candidates on hiring processes
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews cooperatively with hiring managers (send calendar invite to managers/ invite candidates to interviews by text messages and emails)
  • Ensure interviewing managers have appropriate recruitment skills and training
  • Design appropriate interview questions and assessments
  • Any other activities relating to the needs of the local HR team
Skills & experience required:
  • Level 3 H&S awareness.
  • A Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in recruitment
  • Previous experience in working within an FMCG environment desirable but not essential
  • Understanding and application of hazard identification and near miss reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethical, and cultural awareness
  • Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude with excellent organisational skills
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, and comfortable learning new technical systems
  • Evidenced experience in building effective relationships at all levels within a business
  • Innovative with a proven track record of working proactively
