IT Assistant/Desktop Support | Preston | Full Time | Monday to Thursday: 8:15 am – 4:45 pm, Friday: 8:00 am – 1:00 pm | £24,500 per year

Are you the right person for the job?

  • Previous experience in a desktop support or IT helpdesk role
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting IT equipment such as printers, workstations, and other office hardware

What will your role look like?

  • Providing high quality support of the company's business software and hardware systems throughout all processes
  • Liaising with the team to undertake routine day to day maintenance of printers, end user devices and ancillary equipment.
  • Supporting rolling out and updates on hardware and software systems
  • Supporting the team in setting up new and recycled technology
  • Supporting the team to resolve any IT related issues – undertaking research to help solve these issues if necessary
  • Supporting the development of the company's IT systems and policies
  • Assisting in identifying and sharing opportunities for IT improvement programmes
  • To be responsible for Desktop Support
  • Willingness to learn and progress - The role will potentially progress over time to include administrative responsibilities
  • Confident in lone work and as part of a team
  • General housekeeping
  • Use of business systems as required/necessary
  • Any other tasks not outlined in the job description
