Role: IT Category Manager
Location: Lancashire
Rate: £375 - £400 per day
Duration: 3 months
Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a Public Sector organisation in Lancashire to recruit an IT Category Manager. The role would require 1 day p/w in the office.
Role:
- Work under the ICT category, managing projects at both a strategic and operational level
- Lead on tendering exercises, ensuring full compliance with public contract regulations and organisational policies/procedures
- Utilise frameworks for direct awards and mini competitions
- Liaise with senior level stakeholders
- Proactively develop and maintain specialist category knowledge and have an awareness of constantly changing markets
- Identify opportunities for cost savings
Person:
- Direct experience in IT category is essential
- Previous experience in the Public Sector
- Has previously operated at a strategic level in procurement
- Strong stakeholder management experience
- CIPS desirable
