The client is looking to move their on-premises finance system (Unit4 Business World) to Software as a Service (SaaS) by the end of 2025. A Senior Business Analyst is required to work across both finance and technical teams to gain a deep understanding of business requirements, desired outcomes and priorities and to translate these into solutions within Unit4 Business World and related systems.

Description
Our client is embarking on a major strategic project to move their current on-premise Finance system (Unit4 Business World) to Software as a Service (SaaS) by the end of 2025. As part of this project and wider finance systems work, they require a Senior Business Analysis to work across both finance and technical teams to gain a deep understanding of business requirements, desired outcomes and priorities and to translate these into solutions within Unit4 BusinessWorld and related systems.
The Senior Business Analyst will also work closely with the finance leadership team, representing their requirements and priorities within the project and ensuring the necessary resource is made available. They will also act as an advisor to the Project Board including the CFO and other senior stakeholders.
The client is currently using Agile ways of working (Scrum) for the delivery, however there is also an internal requirement for structured governance and reporting.
Tooling: Unit4 Business World, Azure DevOps
Key Deliverables:
* Delivery of high-quality outcome-focused requirements in line with agreed project timescales.
* Clear prioritisation of requirements and communication of this to Finance stakeholders and the technical team.
* Solution design of Financial systems, integration and reports to meet business needs.
* Transition of users from Business World desktop to web interface, including business process changes
* Analysis and rationalisation of Business World customisation's and integration in readiness for SaaS
* Analysis and rationalisation of Business World reports in readiness for SaaS
* Coordinate user training requirements
* Active contribution to Project Steering Group, Project Board, Project planning & Scrum ceremony meetings as required.

Extensive hands-on experience with Unit4 Business World
Desirable skills / experience
- Higher Education experience
- Ability to be onsite in Preston when needed (2-3 days a week) (there is flexibility around this)
