Role: IT Technician Location: PrestonSalary: £25,000-£29,000 DoE

This school, based in Preston, is looking for a motivated and skilled IT Technician to become part of the school team. In this role, you will offer essential technical support to ensure the efficient functioning of IT systems, assisting both staff and students. Key duties include maintaining hardware and software, resolving network issues, and helping implement new technologies to improve learning and administrative processes.

The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving abilities, good personal skills, and prior experience in an IT support role within an educational environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Collaborate with teachers/senior support staff to coordinate the planning, development, and organisation of the school's ICT network.* Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including desktops & laptops. * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations for ICT equipment.* Develop and implement strategies for the secure storage of resources, materials, and equipment.* Maintain and update records, including generating reports and analysing data as required.

Key Skills & Requirements

* Previous experience working within schools. * Experience of school-based software, such as Synergy. * Experience with O365 suite. * Strong diagnostic and technical troubleshooting skills. * Experience with hardware repair & maintenance, including laptops and desktops. * Good communication and personal skills.
