A Senior IT Engineer is required to join an established and growing business based in Preston.

Are you an enthusiastic, customer-focused IT professional? We're looking for an L3/Team Lead Senior IT Support Engineer to join a small and friendly team in Preston. If you thrive in a fast-paced technical support environment and enjoy solving complex problems, this role is for you!Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide expert analysis, troubleshooting, and system & network monitoring for external customers.
  • Maintenance & Support: Handle day-to-day ticket management and supporting junior engineers as required
  • Solution Design: Define requirements, design solutions, evaluate vendors and platforms, and perform engineering tasks.
  • Ownership: Take full ownership of issues until resolution, providing 3rd Line support to our varied customer base.

What You'll Do:

  • On-Site Support: Attend local customer sites to install new solutions or resolve current issues.
  • Remote Support: Provide remote support to customers across our group.
  • Microsoft Environment: Work with Windows Server 2012/16/19 and up to Windows 11 Operating System.
  • Active Directory & More: Manage Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Remote Desktop Services, SharePoint, OneDrive, and VPN connections.
  • Office 365: Utilize your knowledge of the Office 365 environment.
  • Networking: Apply your understanding of networking principles to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.
  • IT Security: Address IT security issues, including networking, backup solutions, and spam/malware filtering.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in an 3rd Line + Lead role, preferably within an MSP.
  • Skills: Strong technical skills in a Microsoft environment and practical networking knowledge.
  • Customer Focus: Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must hold full driver's license
  • Previous experience working for a MSP essential

Additional Information:Salary for this role is competitive up to £40,000 dependant on experience Based on site in the office. Working hours: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week working between the hours of 08:00 - 17:00.Benefits Include:
