Summary

This company are looking for an enthusiastic, customer focused Senior IT Support Engineer to join a small and friendly team in Preston. You will be working within a fast-paced technical support environment providing technical support for a range of customers.

Key Responsibilities

Some of the main duties you will carry out will include:

  • Visiting local customer sites to install new solutions or to address any current issues and providing remote support to customers throughout the group.
  • Attending site visits when needed to support our end users. This may include some OOH work, for which you will receive extra compensation.
  • Assisting 1st and 2nd line engineers and helping them develop their knowledge of resolving problems.
  • You will support the Service Delivery Manager by coordinating tasks, including ticket management and deputising in their absence.

Key Skills and Requirements

  • Previous experience working in an MSP.
  • A solid technical background, showcasing the ability to understand and support existing technologies while still maintaining focus on future IT products and solutions.
  • Microsoft Certification Intermediate or Advanced (or the ability to achieve them in a short time frame).
  • Some knowledge of IT Security and a practical approach to dealing with associated issues including networking, backup solutions and spam/malware filtering.
