Westlakes Recruit are currently searching for a Mechanical CAD Designer on a permanent basis to be located in any of the following locations- Warrington, Bristol, Leicester, Preston or Newbury sites, with hybrid working from home options.
Key Duties:
- Create and maintain design documents throughout the design lifecycle following ISO standards, meeting time, cost and quality requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with Design and other functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Develop innovative design solutions and solutions to manufacturing/installation issues.
- Assist senior designers with a range of activities including estimates, quality control, and test procedures.
- Fulfill Design Lead responsibilities for single discipline low-risk projects.
- Maintain expertise in best practices across the design lifecycle, including customs and standards, and company policies (health & safety, diversity, etc.).
Essential experience of the Mechanical CAD Designer
- You are someone who owns and delivers, who champions high performance and is courageous to challenge the status.
- Knowledge of CAD tools and General Engineering Drawing Practice.
- Ability to build strong and influential relationships with key stakeholders.
Qualifications for the Mechanical CAD Designer
- Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering, or equivalent experience.
