Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a global chemical manufacturer based in Lancashire to recruit a Field Service Technician. Salary: c£40-45K, + discretionary bonus scheme and a company car. Hours: Monday to Friday role but flexibility is required

Our client is looking for a proactive and customer-oriented Field Service Technician to provide on-site technical support for the sales, installation and maintenance of customer production equipment and systems whilst also working with customers to identify improvements, source contractors to support with work on sites and manage projects. 

Duties of the Field Service Technician include:

  • Carry out routine service calls to maintain and serviceequipment
  • Technical support for troubleshooting and reactive maintenance needs
  • Conduct service visits on a preventative and reactive basis asrequired
  • Undertake service and repair of products and systems to deliver against customers’ requirements
  • Coordination and communication withcustomeron all repair activities to maximise uptime/reliability
  • Support the territory in business development and maintenance of existing accounts.
  • Support the technical requirements of business and management
  • Liaise with third party vendors about additional support,sparespurchasing and equipment storage
  • Keep accurate records and management reports and provide training to customers and colleagues to ensure knowledge transfer and bestpractices

We would be keen to speak with Field Service Technicianswiththe following:

  • Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent with a solid understanding of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and control systems
  • 18th Edition certified
  • Experience working in acustomer facingfield service engineer or technical support role, ideally in a chemical manufacturing environment
  • A positive and responsible attitude towards independent work
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • A logical and analytical approach totrouble-shooting
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, with flexibility for occasional emergency cover at customer sites outside normal working hours, including weekends
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages

Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be flexible to attend emergency call-outs to supportcustomer.
