- Conducting daily and monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Managing BACS payments, disbursements, direct debits, standing orders, and transfers between client and office accounts.
- Overseeing daily banking activities, billing, credit notes, and write-offs within the Matter Management team.
- Handling finance-related queries via the firm’s finance helpdesk, providing prompt and professional support.
- Ensuring adherence to SRA Accounts Rules and contributing to financial compliance and best practices.
- Collaborating with the finance team to meet departmental deadlines, maintaining clear and consistent communication.
- Previous experience in a Legal Cashier, Finance, Treasury, or Accounts role.
- Understanding of SRA Accounts Rules (or a willingness to develop knowledge with training support).
- Experience using Proclaim case management software is desirable.
- Strong numerical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and resolve issues with a solution-focused approach.
