Overview: I am supporting a growing, reputable IFA (Independent Financial Adviser) practice in Preston with an excellent opportunity for either an Accomplished Paraplanner or a Trainee Paraplanner looking to climb the ranks.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working within the Financial Planning/Wealth management industry as a paraplanner.
  • Strong working knowledge of financial services products, including Pensions, Investments, ISAs, and Protection policies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organised with the ability to work to deadlines and manage your own workload effectively.
  • A team player, with a willingness to assist colleagues when needed.
  • Previous experience in writing suitability reports is essential.
  • If not already qualified to Diploma level, you will need to be part-qualified or motivated to progress further.
  • Experience using Intelligent Office and Selectapension is advantageous.

Job Duties:

  1. Produce professional suitability reports tailored to individual clients.
  2. Prepare file documentation for meetings and assist with existing business administration.
  3. Conduct specific product, provider, and fund research.
  4. Assist administrators during busy periods, ensuring smooth team coordination.
  5. Handle other administrative duties, including:
    • Submit new business applications.
    • Produce quotations.
    • Liaise with providers and clients.
    • Chase outstanding pipeline cases.
    • Follow up on outstanding fees.
