Sonic Summary

Our client, a multinational company, is seeking a General Counsel to lead their legal function across the Group.
The role involves providing expert legal advice to senior leaders, managing corporate M&A activities, and overseeing the negotiation of commercial agreements.
Candidates should be English qualified solicitors with a minimum of 10 years' post-qualified experience and a proven track record at an international level.
The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a commercial outlook.
The salary for this role is competitive, and while at least 10 years PQE is preferred, the client is open to considering candidates with relevant experience outside this range.

Our client is a multinational company, looking for a General Counsel to lead the legal function across the Group. Key responsibilities:

Lead and support the legal department
Provide expert legal advice to senior leaders at board level
Lead and manage corporate M&A activities
Oversee the drafting and negotiation of various commercial agreements, taking a hands-on approach for significant contracts
As a C-Suite executive build strong relationships with key stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions
Manage and develop teams across the business globally, with oversight of core international legal functions, corporate governance and ESG

The successful candidate:

An English qualified solicitor ideally with at least 10 years’ post qualified experience
Proven track record of operating at an international level
Will be a key member of our senior leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO
Experience of managing legal teams and people
Have good communication and strong interpersonal skills
Have a commercial / business outlook to their work
