Quality Engineer

My client is seeking a proactive individual with a background in quality assurance, R&D, or process chemistry to join their team in Lancashire. This Quality Engineer role focuses on driving continuous improvement initiatives, investigating and resolving quality issues, and promoting a quality-centric culture within the organisation. As the Quality Engineer you will also work closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging your technical skills to enhance operational efficiency and contribute to the company's overall quality standards.

To be considered for the Quality Engineer position you will be degree educated in Chemistry or a related scientific/engineering field. You will also have previous experience in a similar quality role within a speciality chemicals or polymers industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage improvement projects to enhance product and service quality.
  • Conduct root cause analyses to resolve quality issues and customer complaints.
  • Foster collaboration across departments to support a unified approach to quality.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Relevant degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
  • Strong background in quality control, R&D, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and project management tools.
  • Familiarity with lean and six sigma methodologies is a plus.
