Eventus Legal is seeking a Paralegal or Legal Assistant to join an incredibly successful Real Estate team with offices across the North West. This is a permanent, full-time position is based in Preston, Lancashire. This is an award-winning, Legal 500 law firm, with an outstanding reputation, and headed up by a leading lawyer. Role Responsibilities

The successful Paralegal/Legal Assistant will be working alongside a committed and supportive team in the Real Estate department. The day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the lawyers and fee earners with the day-to-day progression of their caseload which includes leases, landlord and tenant matters, plot sales, sales and acquisitions
  • Conducting legal research and property searches
  • Compiling relevant property reports
  • Opening, maintaining and closing files
  • Liaising with clients and third parties to collate information and provide regular updates
  • Attend client meetings to take notes and prepare legal documents
  • Diary management

Person Specification

This is a very exciting opportunity for a Paralegal or Legal Assistant with experience in property law, either residential property or real estate. You will have worked in private practice carrying out duties similar to those mentioned above.

You will also be able to demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • Strong IT skills with experience of case management systems
  • The ability to organise and prioritise workload
  • Keen eye for detail
  • A collaborative approach to work, working well within a team

Please note that successful applicants will need experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant within the residential or commercial property department of a private practice.
