Annual Salary:£30,000 - £32,000
Working routine:4 on / 4 off. 19:00 - 07:00
Your role within the company:
- Daily face to face customer interaction management & warehouse personnel
- Despatch drivers /loads
- Brief and debrief Drivers
- Liaise with company workshops / service providers to ensure vehicle maintenance standards are met
- Ensure EU drivers legislation is adhered to.
- Provide updates on collections & deliveries to the client
- Working unsupervised, continually managing time and prioritising work to meet tight deadlines
- Data Input and use of computer systems,
- Making bookings in for deliveries to customers
- Updating customers with delivery detail in real time
- Despatch drivers /loads
- Production of appropriate documentation
- Customer liaison in person or by phone, fax and Email.
- Assorted general administrative tasks.
- Dealing with queries andfollow an escalation process as required
- Filing and keeping of records
- Managing the trailer parks on site.
- Adhering to and managing H&S on site
- Overseeing 3rdparty transport companies
Skills & Experience Required:
- Experience of a complex logistics operations
- Industry knowledge of distribution, logistics and supply chain management
- TransportPlanning/ Operational background preferred
- Knowledge of relevant legislation (drivers hours / vehicle weights / dimensions etc)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Flexible attitude to working hours
- Good organisational,task management and prioritisation skills.
- Team player
- Ability to use initiative & work well under pressure.
- Computer literate in office, excel, outlook etc.
